We are delighted to invite you to the 18th International Congress Thermophiles 2027, which will take place in the beautiful island of Ischia (Naples, Italy), from September 12 to 16, 2027.
Building on the long-standing tradition of the International Thermophiles Conferences, which began in 1990, Thermophiles 2027 will bring together researchers from around the world to share the latest discoveries and advances in the study of thermophilic microorganisms and the (bio)molecules derived from them.
The Congress will explore a wide range of exciting topics, including microbial physiology and ecology, biogeochemical processes, taxonomy and phylogeny, the origin of life and evolution at high temperatures, astrobiology, (meta)genomics, structural and molecular biology, biotechnology, and other areas of applied microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
Beyond the scientific program, the Congress will provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, foster new collaborations, and strengthen connections within the international thermophile research community, all in the exceptional setting of Ischia.
